Quality Landscape

Quality Landscape Lighting Installation

There is no comparison for professional landscape lighting design and installation. Our landscape lighting experts begin with a lighting design that highlights your architecture, plants, and outdoor features. A lighting specialist doesn’t just offer a high-quality product. You also benefit from professional design techniques. This may include shadowing, pathway lights, silhouetting, and more for a pleasing lighting plan.
We use only high-grade electronics which are buried with the protective conduit in deep trenches. You will not need to worry about cutting a wire while gardening or a short from water reaching an underground connection.
We believe that the best landscaping lighting is an art. We view our work as lighting a stage to add drama, beauty, safety, and intrigue to your home.

An Investment in Your Home

Even if you aren’t planning to sell your home in the near future, it’s always wise to take steps to improve its value. Professional outdoor landscaping lights can be a valuable investment. A well-planned home landscape design can boost your home’s value by up to 20%. A lighting system can dramatically improve your curb appeal. According to the National Association of Realtors, landscaping beats out all indoor projects in terms of increasing home value.
A lighting system can essentially expand your outdoor space, adding usable square footage to your home. A backyard patio & outdoor kitchen can be an ideal setting for dinner with the family or parties with friends. Many homeowners also appreciate improved safety. Outdoor lighting can deter would-be burglars & make your walkways safe and visible at night.

LED Landscape Lighting

Low voltage LED landscape lighting is the standard in professional outdoor lighting installation. LED landscape lighting is brighter and uses much less power than halogens, lasting for a decade without replacing any bulbs. Low voltage landscape lighting is up to 90% more efficient than traditional lighting systems to reduce your energy costs. It even produces less insect activity because it does not emit UV light like halogens.
Today, LED outdoor landscape lighting comes in a huge array of light hues and intensities. Homeowners can appreciate an LED lighting system that requires fewer wires, less maintenance, and great flexibility. We love using LED landscape lighting to produce dramatic yet welcoming effects.
Led Landscape
Solar Landscape

Solar Landscape Lighting

Solar lighting is not the first choice for professional landscape lighting. While solar lights can be very cost-effective for a DIY project, they do not offer the quality of LED or halogen lighting.
Solar lights produce a cold blue color rather than the warm white or amber of LED and halogen. Lights that aren’t in a location with a full day of sun or areas that experience overcast days won’t produce a full night of lighting. Fixtures tend to be unattractive as well.
Still, there may be a place for solar landscape lighting in your lighting plan. Some types of solar lights can be used temporarily for events or in areas that are at risk of damage if you use more costly LED lighting.

FAQ’s
Have questions about professional outdoor landscape lighting? We are just a call away! We are always willing to answer your questions and set up a consultation to review your ideas. To get you started, here are a few common questions we hear from our San Diego customers.
Are the lights weatherproof?
We only use quality, robust landscape lights that are completely weatherproof. This means your lights will stand up against rain, mud, wind, and other hazards. We also install the wire with a protective coating to ensure complete water protection.
Will the lights always be on?
No. Most transformers for outdoor landscape lights have a 24-hour timer. You can use this timer to set when the lights will turn on and off automatically. For example, you can set your lights to turn on automatically every night at dusk.
What’s the difference between LED and halogen lights?
Halogen and LED are two popular options for outdoor landscape lighting, each with benefits and drawbacks.
Halogen lights are popular because they are very affordable. With a lower upfront cost than LED, you can spend less money for a professional-grade lighting system. You may pay about $4 to $10 per halogen bulb. Halogen offers a very good quality with a good level of brightness. You can also use a timer with halogen lights, which will turn on and off exactly when you want them to. Low voltage halogen lights can also help you save money when operating your landscape lights. These lights can also be used high or low for flexibility.
Just remember that the low cost of halogen lights only refers to the upfront cost. Halogen lights won’t last very long, especially when compared to LED. In the long run, halogen landscaping lighting will probably cost more than LED as you will need to replace the bulbs occasionally. Wiring halogen lights can also be expensive.
LED outdoor landscape lighting has become standard. While more expensive to install, LED landscape lighting lasts a very long time. While halogen lights can last up to 5,000 hours, LED bulbs will last up to 50,000 hours. You can expect LED lights to last about a decade before the bulbs need to be replaced. LED lights also offer very good brightness with minimal maintenance. Compared to incandescent, halogen offers a savings of 20% but LED reduces energy costs by 80%. The primary downside of LED is the cost. You may pay anywhere from $20 to $100 per bulb.
How are landscape lights installed?
There are two main options for installing your lighting system. One option is a system that operates on line voltage, or the 120-volt current that comes from your home. Low voltage LED landscape lighting operates on just 12 volts.
All systems are installed with four main components. The first is the transformer, or the power behind your low voltage system. This transformer can plug into any GFCI electrical outlet outside to set down your current from 120 to 12 volts. We will choose the correct transformer size based on the total wattage of all lights on your system. The next component is the low voltage cable, which is buried under the ground. The size of your transformer and the cable length determine the right gauge of cable.
Your system will also include accent fixtures like landscape tree lighting and wall-wash fixtures in addition to pathway lights along your driveway and walkways.
